i2p+ Upgrade

I have installed and been learning to use the i2p+ router (2.6.0). The aesthetic, functionality and performance of the i2p+ router is amazing.
Problem is that, upon examination, the router wants to update to (i2p+ 2.6.1)??. Once the update is completed, everything changes...
The aesthetic becomes a clean almost google like interface and and most of the functionality or "dashboard" resources disappear and my impression is that there is little to NO performance uptick.
Granted, I am basically a newbie to i2p in general and i2p+. But, I am wondering if there is a way to "restore" the previous look and feel I thought was amazing and continue to use i2p+?

it shouldn't change, linux/windows? the router identity stayed the same but didn't carry over the settings?
check the /logs, that could be the most useful thing.

Could be worth checking out your i2p dir is the same and permissions are good. Or if there's some interference with vanilla i2p, i'm not sure.

I2P+ until recently would update you to vanilla I2P if a newer version of I2P than the installed version of I2P+ became available, and you either had automatic updates enabled, or manually chose to download and install the non-I2P+ update (I2P+ updates from skank.i2p are indicated as I2P+ updates in the sidebar when available).

To revert to I2P+, manually download the update.zip file from http://skank.i2p/i2pupdate.zip and copy to your i2p application folder and then restart. A hard refresh in the browser (Ctrl+Shift+R) may be required to restore the I2P+ themes.

Be sure you also enable unsigned development updates for I2P+ on http://127.0.0.1:7657/configupdate .. after you're running I2P+ again. Select either the release path (default), or the /dev/ path for more frequent updates. Configuring your update policy on that page to notify only will ensure you can decide when you want to update your router. The latest release version on skank.i2p is 2.6.5-10+

Note that automatically updating to vanilla I2P from I2P+ should now be disabled, so you shouldn't update to vanilla I2P after you've deployed the latest update.
