Re: The code quality of I2Pd?
i'll take double digits for i2pd, mine are also tracking in 20%'s now. better than the 1-4% i was seeing when none of my i2pd routers could hold a tunnel open it may or may not have been relevant to mention it as i think i missed part of the discussion, just what i remembered dr|z3d saying. at the t...

Re: The code quality of I2Pd?
technically true as far as i know, there have been frequent releases on the developer side for i2p+ and i2pd to mitigate effects of things (i2p+ just released again with new GeoIP db) and official release just out for java. i don't know if the attack is specifically aimed at i2pd but i do think it w...

Re: Torrenting and Network attack
absolutely, can save needing to run a separate router. for java if you want to squeeze more speeds out of it biglybt does a good job of spreading load among many tunnels. for more reliable tracker connection increase shared client tunnels to a high number. i've also used i2pd for reaching certain tr...

Torrenting and Network attack
attack is ongoing but idk posted a mitigation strategy that sounds like it will be bundled into a release. i2pd did a quick fix too although it requires compile still. my i2pd routers were at 1-4% and are now around 8-10% with the fix. minus what the devs like idk themselves are saying this is all j...

Re: i2pnetwork issues
it's an endless game of cat and mouse, all networks have this flaw. and the more visible and easily accessible the network is, the more vulnerable it becomes. it's hard to discount what a determined adversary with deep pockets can do, the best you can hope for in that case is to make large scale att...

Re: i2pnetwork issues
yes there's an attack. large amount of new routers came online recently. java routers are handling this better than i2pd. additional info: http://zzz.i2p/topics/3632-network-weather-update http://notbob.i2p/cgi-bin/blog.cgi?page=609 http://stats.i2p/cgi-bin/total_routers_week.cgi notbob/zzz sum it u...

Re: Is there a somewhat accurate and up to date guide on how to WebDL / WebRIP from streaming services?
Welcome, figure the more people sharing stuff on i2p the better so if not you maybe someone else could do this sort of thing or learn to. 720p is still good though and some people like the small file sizes. rips from physical media are generally more safe, i wouldn't worry too much about that as lon...

Re: Is there a somewhat accurate and up to date guide on how to WebDL / WebRIP from streaming services?
i'll share what i know with caveat that i don't have a working tool for this. problem with tracking this down is exposing an exploit results in it getting patched, so there's incentive to be secretive about such things. hopefully someone here has experience doing this, it's has been changing rapidly...
